Hey! I am so happy to hear that you are doing better. I have been worried about you. It`s hard to not be able to help you in any way. But it`s okay. I`ll just keep praying for you. Yesterday, we didn`t eally have our p-day. Instead we had a zone conference meeting. Elder Amado came and spoke to us. He`s a member of the 70 and is in the area presidency here. He is awesome. It was a little bit of a bummer that we couldn`t have an actual p-day but I`m glad they at least let us write this morning. I was going to be really bummed if I couldn`t write. But the meeting was really good. I didn`t understand every single word but I understood the main points... I think at least. I took a lot of notes. It was good too because I think now my companion is a little more focused on actually training me. This week was a little hard because we didn`t have companionship study. We had choir practice and other things. (Pres Herndandez had me and Hna Spencer put together a choir number. I talked to him 2 weeks ago about my trials and such and so he is trying to help in anyway. I was really grateful for the opportunity to play). I try to study by myself but I can`t do it all the time. But last night afterwards she said we were going to have it more. When we don't have it, I just end up sitting there during the lessons because I don`t know whats going on. So I am grateful for them focusing a lot on having personal study and companionship study. I won`t learn how to teach the lessons and such without it. It was just a really good meeting. I forgot to bring my notes or else I would tell you more. So sorry.
Hernan did accept the challenge to be baptized. Next Saturday we will hopefully have 4 baptisms. Hernan, Fernanda, Gabi and Javier. I`m pretty excited about it. Fernanda is 14 years old and we met her this last week. She met with the missionaries before us but we just found her. Her sister is a member and she does want to be baptized so that's good. Gabi and Javier are siblings and we meet them through a member. They are good but Gabi has a lot of questions. It`s good though because that means to me that she is really investigating it. We challenged a family (the Rinaldos) to baptism the weekend of the 24 but after we did it, they we didn`t see them for more than a week. We finally saw them Saturday and had a really good lesson. So we think we`ll re-challenge them to baptism they 2nd week in October. We`re not sure though. This Sunday, we had 12 investigators at church! It was pretty awesome and I even bore my testimony. Haha it was probably not very good but I felt like I needed to. So I did. We had Fernanda, Hernan, the Rinaldos (4 perople, Fabricio - dad, Edelma - mom, Fabricio and Giancarlo. There`s also Paul but he`s 7), 2 of their friends, Ariel and Gloria, Isis (her husband is a member and she is pregnant and super cute), Jenny (her sister is a member), Tania (she was supposed to be baptized a few weeks ago but she didn`t because she went back with her abusive boyfriend. Dumb. I know but there`s not a whole lot we can do) and Katia (she is related to jenny somehow but I don't remember how and she is waiting for her divorce to go through so she can marry the guy she is living with now). So yeah, we had a ton of investigators. It was good. I just really wish I could communicate with them and get to know them. after I bore my testimony Edelma came up to me and gave me a really big huge and told me she loved me. That was nice. It was a good day.
This week we have tons of things going on. It`s going to be busy. I taught piano and that was a disaster. And I don't know if I will do it again because Hna Chavez says we don't really have time to do it. But I am going to continue to try and push it. So could you maybe send me something that could help? I`m not sure what but just something that has the basics. That would sure be great. I really want to teach it because that means I get to play. Also, the english class may not happen either. I don`t know. I do teach one of the members because he is taking a class in school. So i help him when he needs to the help. That`s been nice. I got to talk to a few people in English this week and that was nice. I sure miss speaking in English and having people actually understand me. But I think my Spanish is improving. I don`t know if I can speak better but I can sure understand a little more.
One of the members in the ward made a list for us for the members to feed us every day! It`s awesome. But I am eating way too much. Holy cow! But it`s nice because we will get to know the members and develop relationships with them. I think that will help us find more people to teach.
So yeah, this has been my week. It was good and I am trying to stay occupied and busy. I love you guys and miss you all. And thanks for writing me :) I sure do look forward to this day. And I will try to think of things that I might need. I live really close to PriceSmart so we`ll have to communicate. LOVE YOU!!!
